Christina Shawn (she/her) (https://www.christinashawn.com/) is a literacy coach, reading specialist, and author of the children’s books And Then Came You, Lucas Plays, and No Love Potion. She writes heartfelt and humorous stories about the magical moments in everyday life. Her work is aimed to help children feel seen, heard, and understood, while building a strong foundation for literacy.
She is the literacy coach for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in Richmond, VA, where she lives with her husband, three kiddos, and two fluffy bunnies.
As a former bookseller and teacher, she feels at home leading engaging programs for kids and reading her books to children in both small and large groups. She will take you on an imagination adventure, to engaging literacy activities, and through a memorable, educational, and meaningful experience.
When she isn’t writing, she is outside—biking at the beach, hiking in the mountains, practicing yoga, watching her kids play all the sports, trying to entice dragonflies and butterflies to land on her hands, or talking to trees.
