As a children’s writer and play therapist, Robyn McGrath (robynmcgrathwrites.com) believes that books help us navigate life experiences. Stories connect us, by allowing us to feel seen and heard. Whether she’s writing fiction or nonfiction, she hopes her stories excite and inspire her readers, while fostering an understanding of self and others.
Robyn’s picture books include: Dolly! The Story of Dolly Parton and Her Big Dream, There’s Always Room for One More, and A Mind of Her Own: The Story of Agatha Christie. She has two forth coming picture books, Brave New Ballet, with Penguin Workshop and Wide Open Spaces, with Blue Dot Kids Press- both hitting shelves in 2026. Robyn lives in Austin, TX with her husband, two children, a Labrador retriever, and a friendly cat they found camping.
