Sydney Dunlap (she/her) (sydneydunlap.com) is the author of the award-winning middle grade novels It Happened on Saturday and Racing the Clouds. Her work has received a Crystal Kite Honor, Texas Institute of Letters Dierdre Siobhan FlynnBass Honor, Ippys gold and silver medals, a Moonbeam gold medal, Foreword Indies Book of the Year silver medal, Northern Lights Award, School Library Journal starred review, and placement on multiple state reading lists and award longlists.

Sydney is a former elementary school teacher who has worked extensively with youth facing challenging circumstances, and her books explore tough topics, such as social media safety and addiction in the family, with hope and heart. Her upcoming historical middle grade novel, Both Sides of Greystone Drive, is told in dual POV prose and verse and set against the backdrop of the accelerating end of the Cold War.
