Cate Berry (she/her) (www.cateberry.com) is the author of multiple, award-winning picture books (Harper Collins, MacMillan, Page Kids), with more slated for publication. Cate holds an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, with an emphasis in humor, and has been a featured presenter at the Texas Book Festival, The Writing Barn, Association of Writers and Writing Programs, and many SCBWI conferences.
Ms. Berry is the former humor columnist for Austin Family Magazine is passionate about the intersection between humor and education. She leads unusually fun, interactive author visits for students. She also presents personal development talks, for educators and librarians, on the neuroscience behind humor and its positive effects on the human brain.
