A joyful, self-affirming book about making beauty out of thrown away cloth scraps, a loving mother and son, and the attributes of a prince: bravery, patience, speed, alertness, gratefulness, and pride. Based on the author’s childhood in St. Lucia, the bright and lively illustrations are by Kitt Thomas, also from that island. By Tina Hoggatt (Goodreads)
